About Lynn

Lynn was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. She is a military wife and currently lives with her family in Japan.

Yoga found Lynn in 2008 during a time in her life when everything seemed  challenging, unfulfilling and demanding. One Saturday morning she dragged herself to a Yoga class not knowing what to expect. She was amazed at the uplifting sensations she felt after the class and went back for more every week which soon became daily. She noticed her temperament changed whereby there was less or no reaction to things or situations that would usually frustrate or upset her. She had far more energy, her sleeping pattern improved and noticed surprising changes happening with her introspectively and with the external experience. She felt stronger in her mind and  body, possessed more confidence and was far more focused. This is when Yoga became a significant part of her life!

Two years later she signed up for a  200 Hour, Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with "It's Yoga International". After completion she immediately dived into teaching and had the amazing opportunity to teach in Cape Town, Korea, Okinawa and now Tokyo.

Lynn is an Experienced  Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and loves sharing  her knowledge with as many who come her way. She believes this propensity for teaching was influenced by her dance background from childhood-to early adulthood. She received her Dance Teacher's Certification from the University of Cape Town. Her Yoga teaching style is inspired by energetic Vinyasa, Power Flow classes. She designs classes to challenge her students and savors the joy in watching her students grow as they develop strength, confidence and purpose. Her niche is working with private clients whether in-person or online. She revels in the personal approach and interaction with the student as well as witnessing them achieve their goals whatever they may be. She also teaches Yin Yoga and Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Yoga upon request.
